BARNSLEY NATIONALISTS: Four arrested over drive-by shooting

DETECTIVES hunting the killer of a Sheffield man gunned down in a city gang war made four arrests today.

Officers investigating the murder of 22-year-old James Kamara last Wednesday swooped on three addresses in Sheffield and another in Liverpool.

Three men aged in their 20s were arrested at the addresses in Sheffield, and a 26-year-old Sheffield man was arrested in Liverpool.

Gang member James, who was from Pitsmoor, was blasted in a drive-by shooting on Brunswick Street, Broomhall, in what police believe was a targeted gangland killing.

He died at the scene and three others were injured, including a 21-year-old Sheffield man who was shot in his chest and arm, and remains at the Northern General Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Detectives still want to hear from anyone who saw the Vauxhall Vectra used by the gunman, or men, before and after the shooting.

They are also looking for witnesses to a dispute near to Devonshire Green which broke out around 90 minutes before the murder.

Glasses were thrown when two large groups clashed. Anyone with information about the shooting, the Vectra, or the Devonshire Street dispute, should call detectives on 0114 296 3497 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
