First of all, apologies to all the people who visited here after the elections looking for a report. Holidays, celebration parties and work commitments had to take precedence, you see we are only human after all. Nevertheless, a special thank you to all who helped make history in Barnsley. Barnsley Branch Officials, Activists, Members, Supporters and last but in no way the least, every single voter who took the time to turn out on polling day. Imagine just what the BNP could have achieved if everyone had actually turned out to vote.
The media and the soon to be defunct Labour party blamed their poor results on a low turnout and even admitted that their own thieving MP's and the expenses scandal didn't help them in anyway. Surprise, surprise. Where are the MP's now? We don't see them holding 'Poverty in Barnsley' meetings now the truth is out, even though one of the three stooges opened the meeting with “what can we do about the BNP in Barnsley?” We get the blame for some things but that takes the biscuit. The right dishonourable Mick Clapham even tried telling people there that his wife needed the £200 sunglasses, because she worked on the computer for him... My £1.99 George UV400's do exactly the same job. They keep claiming that they have done no wrong; so even now they have been exposed they still try to con the public. If a council tax bill is £1500 and someone claims £6000 for example; that's theft.
Not only does Barnsley have MP's who like to twist the laws to suit themselves, there are also some dubious council employees; who on the day of the count decided that the BNP had far too many votes; so a decision was made to lift a few off the BNP's table and deposit them on the Conservatives table. Unknowing to him Barnsley branch representatives had already been instructed to keep an eye on him because of past incidents which had been brought to our attention, to name one – a sudden increase in the Labour vote of approx 400 in one ward during a local election. How do they sleep at night? It became really obvious that it was intended after a branch official confronted him and yet he pretended to check the votes and still denied it and was continuing to deny it with the backing of the returning officer, until one lady council officer whose honesty we really appreciate spoke up and pointed out our votes. I must mention that the Conservatives were also disgusted with what was happening and rightly so; I wonder how many times it has happened to them before the BNP came along, the Liberals and also the Barnsley Independents. We also wonder how many votes were put on other tables throughout the room.
While the boxes were been emptied and the votes sorted, I estimated that we had around 20% of the vote: we ended up with almost 17% so I would hazard a guess that my first calculation was probably right. It was very close for Barnsley BNP and the unfortunate wasted votes that went to UKIP, if people only knew the truth about UKIP things might have been a lot different. What we did find interesting was the total anti EU votes. This should send a very big message to the government, but yet they still decide to ignore the fact that people are fed up of the open door policy and the wasted £Millions that the EU costs us. Again proving that they don't and won't care. Their denial of the real problems out there will be their undoing.
We are getting more familiar with the corruption that works at local level as well as nationally with these snout in trough politicians and we are preparing ourselves for the fight ahead. The battle has only just started. We have the Barnsley Comical, weekly gutter rag who support and even print blatant lies in support of Labour, we have the Tories, Lib Dems and BIG who will work together to try and stop us gaining ground. There is third party intervention that is illegal from the UAF/LMHR and Searchlight. There are also Anarchists, who work with the 'main' parties against us, I know that sort of defeats the meaning of anarchism but who are we to question them? Then there is the likes of Phil Lofts who writes his lies to the comical stating that his property has been attacked by the BNP, it's actually a joke considering he has taken everything that has been happening to BNP members and claimed it has happened to him. That man is unbelievable, he writes one week calling all Barnsley people low life scum then comes up with a sympathy seeking anti BNP story like his last one. We have photos of this moron intimidating old ladies into not buying a Voice of Freedom. He is one sad old burnt out man, desperately seeking attention.
Barnsley BNP promise all you people who voted in the Euro elections that we are going to triple our efforts for the next election, be it local or general. We are used to the government run media spreading their lies and all the crap that the people in government spew out. We will get everyone who says they support us to turn out and vote. We will urge people not to use postal votes and ensure their families turn out too. There will be that many BNP votes in the ballot boxes that not even a Labour MP could hide them.
