BARNSLEY NATIONALISTS: BACKBENCHER'S 10 DEMANDS TO SAVE GORDON BROWN

A LABOUR MP sent Gordon Brown a series of ultimatums last night if Labour is to avoid a huge defeat at the next election.

Backbencher John Mann’s list of 10 demands for overhauling Government policy included slashing benefits paid to immigrants and far tighter monitoring of those entering the UK......Mr Mann, MP for Bassetlaw, also said that some disillusioned Labour voters were switching to the British National Party.

Last week the neo-Nazi BNP polled more votes than Labour in Cabinet Minister Ed Balls’ constituency in West Yorkshire. Mr Mann warned: “In Barnsley,
Rotherham, Stoke, Leeds and Kirklees the BNP have been polling very heavily.”
