A POLICEMAN is today facing an anxious wait to discover if he has been infected with the virus that causes AIDS after a ferocious attack by an asylum seeker.
Zimbabwaen refugee Mlungisi Moyo lunged forward and bit the on-duty officer when he was arrested for driving offences.
And as the 31-year-old awaits being sentenced, calls are being made for him to be booted-out of the country.
Moyo, who also has Hepatitis B, was spotted driving suspiciously slowly at a green traffic light on Tuesday, in Bensham, Gateshead.
