Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault that occurred in the Attercliffe area of the city are appealing for witnesses and information from the public.In the early hours of Thursday 19 July 2007, possibly between 3am and 6am, two females in their 20s were approached by two unknown men who sexually assaulted them, both men are described as black male, aged between 19-20 years.Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the location of Effingham Road around this time, who believes they saw anything suspicious to come forward in confidence.Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact DC Nikki Shimwell at West Bar CID on 0114 2964068 or call Crimestoppers.A report will follow if or when the press cover it.
