A man who accused a Wandsworth police officer of racism after a fight on Putney Bridge has been found guilty of wasting police time.
Ahmed El Gogary, 56, from north London, was told to go home by an officer after a dispute between him and three girls on the north side of the bridge last September.
He left the scene but later alleged the officer had assaulted him and discriminated against him on grounds of his race.
The police's Directorate of Professional Standards examined CCTV footage and found the claims to be false. He received a six month conditional discharge and a £70 fine.

But of course he did. It's like that woman who was wearing a mask in court - of COURSE she felt distressed, humiliated, etc.
These are both examples of the language of the compensation claim.

Lucky for the copper there was CCTV...otherwise who would they have believed????
The penalty this man received for this offence is pitiful. This could have ruined the police officers career and basically his life. It was fortunate there was evidence that the man had lied otherwise the politically correct powers that be, would have taken the offence seriously. I wonder how often this actually occurs and how many people were wrongly convicted for the same accusations. Kevin Hughes springs to mind to mention just one.

Pathetic. That is the trouble with our judiciary, they do not understand the meaning of the word justice let alone the need for it to be seen to be done.
The lot of them will have to be replaced some time down the road.
