BARNSLEY NATIONALISTS: Lib Dem MP enjoys Cheeky holiday fun with bikini-clad lover

Asked what attracted him to his curvaceous pop star girlfriend, LibDem MP Lembit Opik famously replied: "Her intellect."

He has tried hard to dispel the impression that his attraction to the Romanian is based purely on lust, but pictures of Mr Opik canoodling in public and having his fingers sucked by Miss Irimia will do little to restore his credibility.
Nor will they go down well with his Montgomeryshire constituency chairman Mervyn Kinsey, who warned Mr Opik last month that his colourful love life could damage his career, saying: "People don't like the kind of publicity Lembit has been getting."

Earlier this year Mr Opik, who is of Estonian descent, gave a lengthy interview and photo shoot to Hello! magazine to declare his deep-rooted love for the woman he calls Gabi.
