Actually, it's Yates' crew that asked for the injunction because they don't want all the publicity to jeapordise any trial - you know the standard argument the politicos would use - how can we have a fair trial after all this publicity.
I believe the injunction implies that the police believe they have a good case. The injunction might be Good news not bad.
